'It really was an amazing experience' explained St. Neots based negotiator Karen Keightley, 'it's something I'll never forget'.

TELEVISION CELEBRITY PENNY MALLORY hosted the conference The glittering awards evening was held at the Hilton Metropole in Brighton and was the culmination of a day long conference for estate agents from around the country. The event was hosted by T.V.'s Penny Mallory - a regular presenter on Top Gear Motorsport and Channel 4's Driven show. Penny shared her own goal of becoming National Ladies Rally Champion by a combination of application and determination.

Assistant Branch Manager, Alastair Smith, was very impressed: 'Penny Mallory was a tremendous host and her enthusiasm to be a winner was extremely inspiring'.

Other speakers at the conference included HSBC's Chief Economist Dennis Turner who gave a fascinating insight into the British economy and made a number of predictions about the housing market in 2002 - despite the concerns about a global economic downturn he is confident that the market remains decidedly robust and predicts continued house price increases during the year ahead.

Delegates also attended a number of workshops covering a range of property related topics. St. Ives based negotiator Leanne Jones found these particularly interesting: 'It was very useful to hear how other agents conduct their business' she said 'I'm sure there are plenty of lessons we can take back to the office to help make us even more effective in 2002!'.

But the highlight of the whole event was undoubtedly the awards evening when the winning team took centre stage as they were presented with the trophy and a ticket entitling them to an all expenses paid trip to the 2002 International Network Conference in Palm Springs, U.S.A.

Commenting on the whole experience, Royston based Partner Julian O'Dell was clearly delighted: 'All of the Partners are just so proud of the team and what they've achieved. Whilst every agent in the land will no doubt claim to be good - there's only ONE company that can officially claim to be the BEST OF THE BEST - THOMAS MORRIS!'
