March: What Is Happening With House Prices?


The UK House Price Index issued by Gov.UK captures changes in the value of residential properties using sales data collected on residential housing transactions, bought with cash or with a mortgage.

Here is a summary of official house price movements across our region and beyond according to the latest UK House Price Index Reports published 21st March 2017.

The January data shows an average house price in the UK of £218,255 and an average house price in England of £234,794.

There has been a +0.8% Monthly change and a +6.2% Annual change

Property in England

There has been a +0.7% Monthly change and a +6.5% Annual change

East Of England

There has been a +0.2% Monthly change and a +9.4% Annual change

Cambridgeshire

There has been a +7.3% Annual change

Hertfordshire

There has been a +8.6% Annual change

Bedfordshire

There has been a +11.2% Annual change

 

The Biggest price move region was in the East of England with an Annual change of +9.4%

The Smallest price move region was in the North East with an Annual change of +2.2%
