Relocation Agent Network’s #OneThousandItemsOfFood Campaign finished on Thursday, and Thomas Morris Sales & Lettings collected no less than 416 items of food for local people as part of the campaign!
“We’ve been blown away by the generosity and support from customers and indeed our own staff,” explained Branch Manager Alastair Smith. “I had the privilege of dropping off food parcels to our local Food Bank in Godmanchester – it was fantastic to be able to help local people in need.”
The initiative, supported by the charity Agents Giving, was part of a much bigger national campaign, culminating on 21st June – Agents Giving Day. So far, Relocation Agent Network members have collected over 3,000 items of food , smashing their original target of one thousand items – and donations are still coming in!
In addition to the Food Bank in Godmanchester, Thomas Morris made deliveries to Biggleswade and St Neots Food Banks, as well as to the Three Pillars organisation who distribute food to the homeless in Peterborough.
Branch Manager Ryan Coyne donated food to the Tussell Trust foodbank in Royston
“We even had an opportunity to actually see inside the St Neots Food Bank and speak with the volunteers about their work,” explains Thomas Morris Director Simon Bradbury. “It was very impressive. These people do an amazing job for people living in our area who simply do not have enough food.”
