In October, Thomas Morris Sales & Lettings will be raising much needed funds for the fantastic local charity, Magpas Air Ambulance, and specifically for their Air Ambulance New Heli Appeal.

This particular appeal was launched on 26th June 2018 with the objective of raising £1.5million to acquire a new state of the art helicopter for the emergency team to utilise throughout our region. The current Air Ambulance entered service 17 years ago and has been used by Magpas since June 2012, flying thousands of patients over the years and responding to its highest number of activations in 2017.

The MD902 Explorer is now coming to the end of its operational life and Magpas intend to acquire the Auqusta Westland 169 (AW169) allowing them to fly further, faster and assist a greater number of patients.

In previous years Thomas Morris have attempted all sorts of challenges to raise money for Magpas, including running a triathlon, a sponsored bike ride, ten pin bowling, a 24/7 car push and a netball tournament. This year, all branches and departments will be holding their own mini-event throughout October with a big focus on ‘Orange Day’ which this year will be held on 18th October 2018. The aim is to raise £3,000 towards the Magpas Air Ambulance new heli appeal as part of the overall target of £1.5million.
